How many people are in first robotics?
3,898 teams including more than 97,000 students and 29,000 mentors from 34 countries built robots. The 2020 season was planned to include 66 Regional Competitions, 105 District Qualifying Competitions, and 11 District Championships.
How many FRC students are there?
The inaugural FIRST Robotics Competition was held in 1992 in the Manchester Memorial High School gymnasium. As of 2020, there are over 3,800 FRC teams world-wide with over 90,000 students participating in the programing from many different countries.

What was the first robot ever made?
The first commercial, digital and programmable robot was built by George Devol in 1954 and was named the Unimate. It was sold to General Motors in 1961 where it was used to lift pieces of hot metal from die casting machines at the Inland Fisher Guide Plant in the West Trenton section of Ewing Township, New Jersey.

What is the first organization?
FIRST operates under a formal Operational Framework, which contains the governing principles and high-level operating rules for the FIRST organization. However, FIRST exercises no authority over the organization and operation of individual member teams.
How many VEX teams are there?
The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is the largest and fastest growing middle school and high school robotics program globally with more than 20,000 teams from 50 countries playing in over 1,700 competitions worldwide.
How many FTC teams are in the world?
On January 10, 2018, FTC announced that Super-Regionals will be abolished after the 2017–2018 season. Due to this, the number of FTC teams that attend each World Championship will be increased from 128 to 160 starting in 2019.
